About Us
Australian Scientific Enterprise (ASE) is a leader in clinical pathology diagnostics, manufacturing essential Quality Control (QC) and External Quality Assurance (EQA) materials for pathology laboratories worldwide. We are dedicated to making a positive contribution to global healthcare, investing in research & development, and continuous innovation in in-vitro diagnostics (IVDs). Our team values long-term growth and a collaborative environment, creating opportunities for all members to thrive and contribute meaningfully.
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic scientist to join our team, with hands-on training provided in the production of pathology quality control (QC) materials. This position offers a unique blend of laboratory production, post-production testing and project coordination. It will suit those looking for a diverse and evolving role in a fast-growing business where continuous learning and growth are encouraged.
Key aspects of this role include:
- Laboratory Production: Conducting precise laboratory production work such as blood fractionation, high-precision pipetting, use of analytical balances and pH adjustment.
- Post-Production Testing: Working with various laboratory instrumentation, including chemistry, coagulation, blood gas, and point-of-care analysers.
- Project Coordination: Overseeing contract-production projects from start to finish, including communication with clients, ordering materials, and organizing production processes.
The position also offers exposure to research and product development; including literature reviews, pilot studies and transfer to full production.
This is a full-time, permanent role based in Hornsby, NSW.
Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am – 4 pm.
